Laminate flooring transition strips – Transfer strips fit between two different types of floor, such as between the carpet and resilient laminates or vinyl tile and laminate. Many laminate flooring manufacturers supply transition strips that snap into plastic or aluminum channels bolted to the floor. Others give strips that simply nailed directly to the floor. Some transition strips requires assembly before use, such as stair nosing or demagnification.
Measure the opening where the transition is to install. Marks the transition strip to the measured length. Use the square to mark the cutting line and cut transition with the jigsaw. Select channel piece about 1/8 inches shorter and cutting with a hand saw. Add transition channel opening in 1/4 inch from the last piece of laminate flooring transition strips. Mark each hole location with a pencil and remove the channel. Drill holes at the marks, selecting a drill bit size smaller than the screw size.
Then, place the laminate flooring transition strips channel in the opening and screw it to the floor with the supplied screws and the screwdriver. And place the transfer channel in the opening and attach it to the floor with the screws and the screwdriver. Place the transition strip on the channel and check the orientation. Place the transition strip in the channel and control the orientation. A laminate for sheet vinyl transition will have thick edge placed over vinyl. Press release laminate strip down the channel until it snaps into place. Move along the strip until the strip is properly inserted into the channel.laminate floor transition corner track
